The Rockwell B-1 Lancer — the "Bone" (B-One) — is a variable-sweep-wing supersonic bomber built to penetrate defences low and fast, its wings sweeping back for the dash and forward for takeoff and landing.
It carries the largest payload of any bomber in the US inventory and, since the Cold War, has evolved into a heavy conventional striker delivering precision weapons around the world.
