Multirole fighter ·First flight 1994 · In service 2003
The Eurofighter Typhoon is a canard-delta multirole fighter built by a four-nation European consortium after France split off to develop the Rafale alone.
Optimised for the air-superiority fight with supercruise, high thrust-to-weight and a relaxed-stability fly-by-wire design, the Typhoon has grown into a genuine swing-role platform for the RAF, Luftwaffe, Italian and Spanish air arms and export customers.
